Funding Increased for Pure Michigan

Funding for Pure Michigan will be increased to a total of $33 million in FY 2015/16 which begins this October 1st.  That is a $4 Million increase!

Senator Jim Stamas, who Chairs the subcommittee on General Government that originally proposed increasing funding to $35M for next year.  His behind-the-scenes advocacy and support of our industry led to a positive outcome no one would have imagined only days ago.  Representative Laura Cox who Chairs the House subcommittee on General Government was key in helping the final push.

A massive grassroots effort made this all possible.  Thank you for MARVAC members who contacted their representatives!
