Whether you’re planning a three-day weekend up north, a two-week trip cross country, or preparing for another year at your seasonal site, your safe and thorough enjoyment of each and every RVing experience is the industry’s unrelenting focus. The Michigan Association of RVs and Campgrounds (MARVAC) is the embodiment of that focus – arming you with everything you need to ensure fun and confidence in your journey.

Looking for a new destination? There’s no-better source for beautiful Michigan campgrounds than MARVAC’s RV & Campground Directory – physical copies are available by request online and or you can read it online at www.marvac.org.

Need service, parts, or accessories? MARVAC members will have everything you need, no matter where you might be – just consult the informative regional maps in the directory and online.

But there’s more – much more!

For the well-seasoned RVer with a gorgeous class-A motorhome, for the first timer with the new-to-them pop-up, and for everyone in between…none of us can ever have enough information to RV safely and confidently.

  • Are you properly equipped and prepared to safely tow your RV?
  • What steps need to be taken to maintain the healthy operation of your RV’s fresh, grey, and black water systems?
  • Can you predictably power your RV on solar for a day or two at a time?
  • Where should we take the kids for Halloween camping?

These and other topics are the focus of dozens of informative videos in MARVAC’s one-stop video library. Updated regularly with content from MARVAC members, this resource solidifies MARVAC’s position as Michigan’s top source for all things RV and campground.

Beginning with model year 2027, new RVs will be equipped with a ground monitor interrupter (GMI), a device that will check the receptacle into which your RV is plugged for proper ground connection in the system before electrical current can pass into the RV. This GMI device will also actively monitor this connection during use. If there are any issues found with the connection, the electricity to the RV will be shut down. From RV manufacturers, to dealerships, to the campgrounds, each component of the industry will be making adjustments to implement the integration of this new GMI device and further ensure safety in 30A and 50A electrical service at campsites and whenever an RV is plugged into an electrical receptacle.

RVing and camping is part of who we are in Michigan – as much a part of this great state as the Mackinac Bridge and the Woodward Dream Cruise. MARVAC is here to make every journey fun, safe, and memorable.
