Michigan.org Visitors Travel to MARVAC.org In a recent Link Analysis Report provided by Travel Michigan, statistics show that almost 500 visitors clicked through to the MARVAC.org webpage via Michigan.org.Travel Michigan forwards a significant amount of web traffic to the various Michigan Destination Marketing Organizations. These clicks may also benefit you as those web visitors may visit your website or contact you via your Convention & Visitor Bureau. Open Letter to Membership
The MARVAC Board of Directors is excited to announce to our members that VP Demand Creation Services of Traverse City will be handling the new and upcoming MARVAC publication, website, and social media, effective July 2015. This publication will be targeted to potential NEW RV purchasers, campers, our current RV customers, and the public at large.
MARVAC President Scott Dodge notes, “The fresh new Industry informative publication (which has yet to be named), will be available by January 15, 2016. It will include all MARVAC members, their locations, and the services that they provide. The MARVAC board is hopeful to achieve its goal that the new publication will be the must-have go-to publication for new customers, current RVers, and campers. We’re hoping they will find valuable information they need such as: industry information, what to purchase, and where to camp in Michigan.”

Fall Detroit Camper & RV Show – Commitment Forms Coming Soon
It’s almost time again for the Fall Detroit Camper & RV Show! Last year nearly 12,000 attendees enjoyed the show. Within the next few weeks staff will be emailing commitment forms to those past participants and those who are interested in the show.

RV/MH Hall of Fame 2015 Induction Dinner Registrations On Course to Set New Attendance Record
ELKHART, Ind. — With less than 30 days until the 2015 RV/MH Hall of Fame Induction Dinner, registrations are running 13% ahead of last year’s record-breaking attendance of 447, according to Darryl Searer, president, RV/MH Hall of Fame (Hall).
The RV/MH Hall of Fame’s annual Induction Dinner will be held on August 3, 2015, at the Hall of Fame’s Event Center in Elkhart, Indiana.
Those being honored in the Class of 2015 include: Bert V. Alanko, MBA Insurance; Patrica A. Fiederer, Latham Oneota Homes; Sherman Goldenberg, RV Business Magazine; Paul E. Hanser, HWH Corporation; Jerry W. James, Franklin Homes, Inc.; Joe Kelly, Iowa Mfg Housing Association; Richard A. Mendlen, Manufactured Housing: Marlene A. Sine, Marlene Sine & Associates, Inc.; Bill Thomas, and Bill Thomas Camper Sales; Robert West, Affordable Community Living.
The day’s activities begin with the 2015 Golf Classic Fundraiser starting with a full breakfast at 7 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. and then caps off with a luncheon and golf awards presentation. This year the golf classic will again be hosted by The Bent Oak Golf Club in Elkhart.
Then, the evening’s festivities kick off with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by a gala dinner and induction ceremony at 7 p.m. All day Monday the attendees will be able to tour the Hall’s many attractions including the antique unit collection in the museum, library and the GoRVing Hall.
