Tahquamenon Falls:
Located in the wilderness of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula near Paradise, Tahquamenon Falls State Park is the Mitten’s second largest state park. Camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and photography are popular activities. It’s a popular destination
for leaf peepers and winter adventurers. Don’t miss seeing both the Upper and Lower Falls. Check the Michigan DNR website for a schedule of programs.
Park is open year-round
Sun-Sat from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saginaw Bay:
Bay City is right where the thumb of Michigan meets the
rest of the hand. The visitor center introduces you to Tobico Marsh, one of the largest coastal wetlands on the Great Lakes. There are plenty of hands-on exhibits, such as composing a symphony of wetland sounds at the marsh music display, a
multi-image slideshow, and a wildlife observation room. This is also home to the state’s only known wild wolverine, on display of course.
