Oden Hatchery:
This is the site of the original fish hatchery building that began operations in 1921. There’s a gift shop, trail information, and friendly staff members who are more than willing to discuss the area. The new hatchery is just a quarter-mile northeast. Adjacent to the visitor center is a recreated train
car: the Wolverine train car, an exhibit that depicts how the Michigan Department of Conservation lived on the train while transporting and stocking fish across the state from 1914-1935.
