Crowd-Pleasing
BREAKFASTS
There’s something about waking up at the campsite. The fresh morning dew, the gentle sounds of the campground waking up, the songbirds welcoming the new sun. On many Michigan mornings, you’ll need a light jacket or a sweatshirt in these early hours, even in summer, and as the aromas of the morning meal start to spread through the camp, you think that life can’t get much better than this. Here are three delicious, easy-to-make recipes that can be made for just your family or multiplied to feed the masses.
Cinnamon Rolls
This is the ideal breakfast for a summer morning, when the kids can run around outside and burn off that sugar-induced energy surge. It’s also the perfect treat
• 1/2 cup milk
• 3 Tablespoons maple syrup • 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
4. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour over first layer of cinnamon rolls.
5. Place remaining cinnamon rolls into crockpot and coat with one icing packet.
6. Place lid on crockpot and cook on low for 2-2.5 hours.
7. Remove lid and drizzle remaining icing packet over top of cinnamon rolls.
8. Serve immediately.
