3. TAKE STOCK OF NEW OR
REPLACEMENT ITEMS.
Think ahead, perhaps go through the RV before closing up or when you’re airing it out, of what you’ll need to add or swap
so that when the time comes for the first outing, you already have everything you need to make quick, effortless adjustments – not rushed or mindlessly thought out. This relates to more common items such as kitchenware, cooking supplies, outdoor gear, tools, bedding, etc. A better practice is to replace and add throughout the season, at the moment something is needed.
4. UPDATE YOUR GPS, MAPS,
APPS, AND ROAD ATLAS.
Guide books are one thing, but don’t be caught with outdated maps. Roads and hazards change all the time so make sure everything is the up to date. It’s best to save this task to just before the RV leaves the driveway, at least for the initial update. You may find you need to make changes as you go along.
5. UPDATE YOUR
MEDICAL RECORDS.
Did you change doctors? Your emergency contact? Is someone on or off a medication, or change a dose? If you have access to a patient portal, download the medical records for each member of the family. Add them to your medical folder and
